Guest guest Posted May 10, 2004 Report Share Posted May 10, 2004 , Yes Glory is all healed and back to roaming the pasture. Group- along with being legally blind I am also hearing impaired. I obtained (I should say adopted :-) ) a lovely lab/German Shepherd mix-certified hearing dog. I have had her for over 6 yrs and she is 7 yrs old. She goes everywhere with me and has done many things for me. I cannot even read articles about losing pets. Glory is not a pet, she is one of my family. She is the one with me 24 hrs a day and the one that hears for me. She does help me get around in strange places, but she is not certified for sight. She has also waken me in the middle of the night when having a hypo. Ironically she woke me one afternoon when I was not well and sleeping, a lady cleaning my windows was having a hypo.
