Dr. Sampson is now in New YOrk City. He was at Hopkins in land.

He is at Mount Sinai Medical Center. I have two numbers listed

That could be true. I know mine works with children as far as administering the

scratch tests, but does not seem to be too familiar with treating children. I

think he was surprised by the large number of children that are represented on

this list and really didn't seem to know much about EE. I did share with him

the information on Dr. Sampson that was here on the list some time ago. Don't

know if he contacted him or not. Guess I will find out in a couple of weeks.

I wish they would all get together and have a big conference. All the

allergists and all the GI's and talk to each other about this category of

diseases. We could all benefit I think.

,

I would be very interested in what Dr. Putnam has to say about allergy and Eos

diseases. There is no proven link yet, but the research being done is still in

the allergy spectrum. You're right; very very few adult doctors (doctors for

adults I should say LOL) have ever seen a case of EG, much less EE. Of course,

in our little town now, unless they live in a bubble, THEY ALL KNOW NOW!!!!! :0

Re: [eosinophilic gastroenteritis] Dr. Sampson

Judy,

Maybe it is just our particular doctor, but we don't see an allergist.

Spencer is on Zyrtec, but that is it for allergy doc's. I am not sure if it is

because Spencer is so severe on the EG charts that they don't think there is

even reason to see one at this point.....???? I think I will ask next time I

see Dr. Putnam...on Monday! LOL

Hey my husband was talking to his mom and someone she knew that is a

practitioner had said that they had heard of EG. I thought that was weird too,

since soooo many GI have never heard of it or even seen a case!!!
