Well sorry it's been a few days but we are trying to get everything squared

away for our trip to Nebraska, we leave Monday. Monday is going to be one

crazy day in which we spend very little time outside of the car. We have

an appt in Kansas City with the ENT which will mean us leaving at 6:30 to

be there for our 9:30 appt. because of all the wonderful highway

construction which they never seem to finish.

Then we will come back home until Monday afternoon which we leave for

Nebraska. I am tired just thinking of it. had his scope on Friday.

All went over well without a hitch. I thank goodness that doesn't

have problems with anesthia. The GI doc did say he was leary that after so

many scopes, will develop an allergy to the anesthia.

We won't know much until the results are back but the GI doc said that the

irritation was mild but his small intestine was still swollen and irritated

but he won't be able to tell if it is getting better until the biopsies are

back. He again still says he doesn't believe it is related to the EG that

he has been in so much tummy pain because he is gaining weight but I think

that is due to the large dose of Prednisone every day.

I don't know how he can have hopes of a cure when I think the Prednisone is

masking things. We tried in June to wean him off and his weight took a

nosedive. I am not going to get happy until he is gaining weight off of

the Prednisone and doing well. And I can't help having thoughts that if

his small intestines are still swollen even on all these meds and

Prednisone then what is the use of them, especially the Prednisone. The

long term effects are so bad and if they are not making things better then

what is the use of it.
