Hi ,

I'm sure you haven't offended anyone...that is exactly what this list is

for...to see what worked for other people so maybe you can try it with your

child.

What does the periactin do?

,

I appreciate your input but suspect that your child does not have EG.

Most of these kids were tried on Zantac first before the EG was

diagnosed and only came to the diagnosis after failure of many other

treatments, i.e. Prilosec,Propulsid, Zantac, Prevacid, Reglan, etc etc

etc....

Periactin will do nothing for eosinophils but has been shown to incresae

appetite in some kids.

I suspect you may be dealing with reflux. Zantac and Periactin are not

new drugs. The only treatments that work for EG, or EE are amino acid

based diets and corticosteroids. Some kids with EE have responded to

topical steroids (flovent) but that does not work for EG.

Again, thanks for your input. I suppose you may be one of the lucky

ones whose kids get EG and then maybe yours " outgrew " it before e could

be treated for it.
