That means I either try to adjust the dosages to accommodate the change, but the results were too erratic. I now throw about 1/3 of each vial of Lantus away. As someone who has no health insurance, but who will continue to use Lantus, I am frustrated that smaller vials are not available in the US the way they are in Europe. wambo1941 > Does anyone else notice that lantus starts to lose power after about three weeks? Sometimes a small increase helps...but other times I notice that when I open a new bottle I'm back to normal. But....sometimes it's too soon to get a refill and I have to increase the dose, which makes me nervous.
