I would like to thank everyone for the suggestions they gave on how

to gently nudge my mother into the direction of healthy living.

Have to stick in my two cents worth, my dear son jolted me into

starting on a diet,really a lifestyle change of eating when he found

me treating low blood sugar by dishing out gobs of peanut butter into

some yoghurt to treat my low blood sugar. He sort of yelled are you

trying to kill yourself, thats just loaded with fat,you didnt even

measure it.,Well needless to say I was angry at first, then realized

he really was trying to get through to me to measure my food, count

my calories, and lose weight--because he loved me. It was more of a

firm shove rather than a gentle nudge but it did work! I have lost

twenty pounds so far and am going for a goal of weight of 150 from

207, I now weigh 187, and am going to make it yet. lonelytustinpetunia
