Guest guest
Marilyn - I would give the metho a try - I had absolutely no side effects, no nausea, no extra tiredness. My breathing improved fairly quickly, the other things took longer. I have been on it almost three years (worked slowly up from 7.5 to 20 per week}. I feel better than I have for years. If it doesn't suit you you can stop. If you don't try, you won't know! Guest guest
Sharon, I'm a PB55 lover as well. I tried the strawberry PB55 and really didn't care for it at all. Had to doctor it up to use the container I ordered. What I do with the vanilla is add a tablespoon of s/f strawberry syrup and a couple of frozen strawberries and you have a nice strawberry shake. To me it is easier to just use the vanilla and add whatever you want to it to make it whatever flavor you like. I use a lot of the s/f syrups (you don't need to add a lot to change the flavor). I like them thick, so I add a lot of ice and sometimes a piece or two of fruit. I'm careful not to use a lot of fruit because of the natural sugar in them. I would suggest you experiment or look in the recipe section of the website. There are a lot of recipes that you might like to try. Beth aijen@... wrote:I had my open RNY 2/27/03. I ordered the PS 100 choco and was way impressed with the taste...made with ice and water it tasted like a 's frosty! Then I ordered PB55 alpine vanilla...I got it today, along with peach sf syrup and I AM IN LOVE! I actually craved another shake. Now I would like to find a good strawberry shake. Any suggestions? My family has a strong gene for glaucoma. My grandad, grandma, uncle, all lost their site because of it. Incidentally, they were not diabetics that we knew of. Well, as a child, I used to go to Fresno with my Mother to visit them. Grandpa used to walk to the park, alone, with his cane only everyday. I marvelled that he could cross this heavily traveled street before the park. He told me, walk on my left side, I will show you the way. Because I was a youngster, I kind of bounced back and forth between his right and left..... Grandpa liked to chew tobacco..... He used to spit to the right, as he walked.....and yup, I learned to listen after that! Guest guest
Sharon, Do you have any information where I can get a lift for my powerchair, I know we talked about it a long time ago, and you knew of some sources. If you could share that information with me again, I surely would appreciate it. I got a premobile C-300, and I'm using two motorcycle ramps to load and unload, but I can't do it, I have to have my son do it for me and he's not always available to go with me places. Vanderbilt has someone there that can load and unload for me, but I can't unload it at home till my son or my mom can do it for me. Thanks, __________________________________________________

Guest guest
, the strap lift I have is a Bruno 620XL. There is a ramp out that will bolt to the inside of the rear of the van or the side door of the van. The ramp is spring loaded so you can operate it yourself and is a lot cheaper. I will have to do some checking on it and give you the info later.
