Guest guest
.... and a big thanks for the invitation to join the group. I belong to two other diabetes support groups; it'll be interesting to share with and talk to all of you, and see who comes in from the other ones. I'm , 51, Type 2 diagnosis this past October. At diagnosis my A1C was 9.7 (231 mg/Dl); 3 months later it was 6.2 (126 mg/Dl). I'm to have it drawn again within the next week, and will post the results when I get them.' I'm on diet and exercise, and have lost 40 pounds over the past year. Since I've gotten my bg under 'control' it's much more difficult to lose more weight (15-20 more pounds to go). I figure it's due to becoming less insulin-resistant, and my body finally being able to use the insulin correctly. I'm sure that if I keep exercising, and adjust what I eat accordingly, that the weight will come off by the end of the year.
