Guest guest
If you haven't read it already, I commend to you DR. BERNSTEIN'S DIABETES SOLUTION. Dr. B. is a cardiologist who is diabetic himself; his suggestions he tested on himself & his patients. Guest guest
Dearest Ruby, I followed the ADA diet for quite a while. It was great for keeping my blood sugar down when I was'nt hungry all the time. I did some research and found it to be qujite high in carbs(not good for syndrone X,which most of us type 2s have) and very low on protien.I've found that :if I don't get enough protien for my needs I crave carbos! It is better to find the diabetic suppolrt center in your area and consult the nutritionalist and dietician for a program that;s going keep you from feeling hungry all the time. If it does;pnt cover your needs how can you succeed? We're not clones or cookie cutter people ,are we! Much respect you new friend,Celeste
