Guest guest
Hi, Listen to me....Dr. Putnam and his team are so wonderful. I have to tell you what he did for us. I was a wreck. Spencer was sick and nobody was doing anything about it but me...!!!! I got his email address and emailed all of his problems and asked him if he would help or could help. He emailed withen 24 hrs to my surprise and said he was very interested in him. He asked me to send all records, x-rays, actual biopsies etc. We emailed at least 20 times and we spoke on the phone several times. One time our phone conversation was 2.5 hrs. He is wonderful. He is a professor as well, so he is more than a doctor. He actually wants to help people. He is a genious when it comes to any type of eos's anything from throat to butt. Also all of his colleleges know everything about Spencer so when I call and my doc is not on call, they know his story and what to do. You have to email him or call him. I can't say enough about him. On top of that he is funny and has great bed side manners. ---------- > > To: eosinophilic gastroenteritis (AT) onelist (DOT) com > Subject: [eosinophilic gastroenteritis] Our GI's change of heart > Date: Thursday, August 06, 1998 11:06 PM > > > > Well to my surprise this afternoon, the nurse called back after I talked to > her today and said that Dr. Friesen agreed with me that we should see > another doc because he just is not sure what to do with anymore. Guest guest
Dawn, I haven't heard of him, but if you do go & find some answers, let me know. I really only see GI people when Tyler's tube needs replaced...about once a year...because I have given up on their " help " ! Guest guest
We have an appointment August 19th to see Dr. Vanderhoff in Omaha, Nebraska which is just 4 hours away. Children's Miracle Network is going to help with our travel expenses if we have to stay for tests, etc. Children's Miracle Network also agreed that if we don't get any answers out of Dr. Vanderhoff, then they will help us go to CHOP. I also plan on asking either Dr. Putnam or Dr. if they would consult with Dr. Vanderhoff by phone. Guest guest
Sounds great. Dr. Putnam is at CHP. I can't remember if I told you all that Dr. Putnam spent endless hours reviewing paper work, x-ray's, biopsies etc and many phone calls and emails with no charge. This truely made me feel like there was someone out there that want to help. You might want to say to Dr. Putnam that I referred you to him cause then he will be able to connect the eos's thing. Also the Nissen that your son had done. I am sure that he would love to compare cases as well. ---------- > > To: eosinophilic gastroenteritis (AT) onelist (DOT) com > Subject: [eosinophilic gastroenteritis] Re: Our GI's change of heart > Date: Friday, August 07, 1998 3:13 PM > > > > We have an appointment August 19th to see Dr. Vanderhoff in Omaha, Nebraska > which is just 4 hours away.
