Guest guest
Just wondering if any of you have heard this drug mentioned as an alternative to prednisone therapy. This will mostly apply to those with IEE or EG. THere has been nothing written in the literature but I have had several different docs from several different cities suggest it. We are going to try it on me and if it works, then try the kids one by one. More work for pubilication for somebody no doubt. That is a big if, but anything is worth a try if we can avoid a lifetime of high dose steroids. Guest guest
I haven't heard anything about this drug. So whatever you learn please pass it on. Flonase seems to still be working for us. Is this 6mp a steroid? Guest guest
Amy, Since fluticasone works for you, I wouldn't change a THING. 6MP in large doses is actually a chemotherapeutic agent, but in smaller doses, it can have the same effect as steroids with lesser long term side effects, particularly bone and end organ damage. It is only a thought from them becuse we are facing a lifetime of prednisone. SJHarlow@... http://www.c4isr.com/harlow
