I did wish and pray that Matt's would have been outgrown but it just hasn't happened. Please don't think I am griping about giving meds. Matt's been on up to ten or so different meds a day at times due to asthma, reflux and allergies over the past eight years so I am used to the daily responsibility and I do thank God that he is doing as well as he is. I just struggle with the four times a day schedule since I fear I will start forgetting doses or forget to take it with me when I am away from home at meal time. Thanks for the suggestion about meal time. That makes sense and I will do that. Lynda
Guest guest
>>>So, here I sit trying to figure out what to do next. Four times a day meds are so hard for me to keep up with! Does anybody have any good techniques for remembering meds that need four times a day dosing? >>> Lynda, is on Cisapride four times a day also. Since it is suppose to be given 15 minutes before meals, we follow this routine: Before breakfast, lunch, dinner and bedtime snack. She gets 3cc q.i.d. and weighs about 32 pounds now. (she is 2 1/2 years old) I know how you feel considering managing medically. The GI does not feel that needs surgery and that we will just medicate her. She is growing and eating well. Her vomiting and reflux are so rare now, that I don't mind giving meds four times a day now! Good luck!
Guest guest
Yes I think its funny too. Zach is on continuous feeds 24/7 so we just go every 4 hrs and he gets all his other meds as well except if they are scheduled at other times. Hes on Zantac Cisapride Mylicon Vitamins Senakot Elavil and his feeds For his feedings he gets Peptamen Jr. TTFN
Guest guest
For those of you that have children on continous feeds and have to give them cisapride. Don't you find it a little funny that you are supposed to give it 15 minutes before feeds?? LOL. Everytime I read the instructions on the bottle it makes me laugh in a twisted sort of way. Like my kid is on food 24 hrs a day. duh!!! How would that be possible. Am I alone here, or do any of you find that funny? ---------- > From: RRA4U@... > To: eosinophilic gastroenteritis (AT) onelist (DOT) com > Subject: [eosinophilic gastroenteritis] Re: cisapride med times > Date: Thursday, June 18, 1998 7:54 AM > > > > In a message dated 98-06-18 08:57:19 EDT, you write: > > << I know how you feel considering managing medically.
