Guest guest
We went to bed last night and I took 's clothes off only to find big ugly bruises all over under his arms. It was awful! I was standing right there and no one grabbed him hard or anything. Doesn't this mean really poor nutrition? or malnutrition? Dawn >> Dawn, I've been lurking on this list for a few days. My position is always on nutritional interventions. Bruising could be many things, but my books tell me vitamin C, bioflavionoids, and/or vitamn K. Have you tested for any of these deficiencies? Guest guest
I am very scared. I don't know what this means, or maybe I do and don't want to admit it. Yesterday, we had a cookout. Well hubby has a close single friend who spends a lot of time here. He is like a member of the family. He, my hubby, and the neighbor were playing with the kids and swinging them around. No big deal, the kids were all loving it. We went to bed last night and I took 's clothes off only to find big ugly bruises all over under his arms. It was awful! I was standing right there and no one grabbed him hard or anything. Doesn't this mean really poor nutrition? or malnutrition? Dawn

Guest guest
Hi, the doc has tested for deficiencies before when I complained of minor easy bruising, never seemed this bad. He always told us his levels were ok but now is completely off dairy and is not receiving any supplements. He is only eating hamburger and potatoes mostly. I am not sure what kind of nutrition he gets out of this. We go back to see GI doc tomorrow and we always see the nutritionist before we see the doc but she never says anything, she just asks what is eating. I am going to have them retest him and demand some sort of at least supplement vitamins. Although I hate to add another med, I think it is one he is in dire need of. Guest guest
I have a lot of bruises also and people keep worrying about me. You might want to ask your doctor about some blood work. He may be anemic. > Date: Tue, 26 May 1998 09:44:04 -0500 > > Reply-To: eosinophilic gastroenteritis (AT) onelist (DOT) com > To: eosinophilic gastroenteritis (AT) onelist (DOT) com > Subject: [eosinophilic gastroenteritis] Scared! > > > > I am very scared. Guest guest
Hi Dawn, I haven't intro'd yet, but I noticed in one of your posts that you mentioned Dr. Friesen...do you live in Kansas City? If so, what nutritionist do you see? Glenda brad-glenda@...

I am not familiar with sources of it, though, so I can't help you there. Lynda
Guest guest
On a supplement vitamin. Whole Foods carries a liquid multi vitamin, made from natural plant extract, carrot, beets, etc. and it is kind a fruity tasting, it is made by sheffs for children. I was able to add to 's milk and she never knew it. She can smell iron from a mile away. Most health food stores will carry natural vitamin supplements like this.
