Guest guest
Hi! Steve from Swiss. Welcome! You asked a good question. Why so many lists? Well, each one is a little different and serves a little different audience. This is specifically for adjustable gastric bands and I hope you will like it here and find the support you need. You can belong to more than one list of course. Helen: I had the same reaction to the bread question. Why be so desparate to eat soggy bread. When you can only eat a small amount it seems like a better choice would be to eat something really good or something that is really good for you (or both). : I wish I could report a vapor lock to milkshakes. I am not crazy about this vomiting thing. I try to avoid having to do it as much as possible by being careful about what goes down. Excessive vomiting can dislodge your band, ruin the enamel on your teeth, give you electrolyte disturbances and damage your esophagus. Although as someone mentions AGB vomit contains less stomach acid than the ordinary stuff. Aren't we special - we have primo vomit. It's not a good habit to get into. When you have to then you will. Mother Nature is a cruel bitch that takes care of her own. Janet has the solution. Stop eating when you feel the least bit full. I have had the experience of eating to over-full - vomiting and then getting to eat again. Is this crazy or what? The idea here is not to make yourself anymore bulemic than you were before. It's to give up the over eating. Denny: Congratulations on your surgery! Bon Voyage! Report to us as soon as you get back. Good luck! Yes, I am up for a Seattle meeting and I am suggesting Friday, June 4 in North Seattle. Debie (our unofficial organizer and den mother by default) will have to agree. I am willing to go elsewhere or meet on another day if somebody else volunteers their place or knows a restaurant or meeting room we could use. 7 p.m. ?
