Store bought spaghetti sauce (Was: Ziti....)

Have you actually tasted that stuff? Blech! WAY too much salt, WAY too

much sugar, seldom has the right mix of herbs and spices.... YUCK! :)

I'm a home-made kinda guy. Although I hate that I have this heart problem,

the one good thing about it is that I've come up with a number of great

recipes and cooking techniques for REALLY good tasting food. My pasta sauce

is a prime example -- quick and simple to whip up but man oh man the

flavors! Of course, you also need to get away from the processed food for a

while to really appreciate the flavors. Until you've been off all the salt

and other junk for 3-6 months, most folks can't really taste the flavors;

the taste buds need time to desensitize.
