Guest guest Posted January 4, 2006 Report Share Posted January 4, 2006 hi i'm restarter..after 2 years of pretty succesfully keeping it off and following the rules...maybe i need a refresher. what makes this phase 2. the buttermilk? > > Cole Slaw > > 1 packages of Dole slaw mix > 2 tablespoons minced onion (fresh) > 1/4 cup fructose > 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt > 1/8 teaspoon pepper > 1/4 cup milk > 1/2 cup mayonnaise > 1/4 cup buttermilk > 1 1/2 tablespoons white vinegar > 1/2 lemon, freshly squeezed > > 1) Combine the fructose, salt, pepper, milk, mayonnaise, buttermilk, > vinegar, and lemon juice in a large bowl and beat until smooth. > > 2) Add the Dole slaw mix and mix well. > > 3) Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving. The fructose. I suppose one can argue that it's P1 permissible with fructose as well, since fructose does not raise blood glucose levels and is actually metabolized in the liver, but I would still stick to P2.
