Guest guest
I was very surprised by a comment Brayden made yesterday. He'll be 2 1/2 next month. He was sitting on my lap looking at family pics on the computer. One picture showed a side view of him with his microtia ear showing. He pointed to his ear and said "take off". I was shocked. I think he may have been pointing to his ear tag. He pulls at it all of the time. I know kids are much more observant than we think, but I was surprised. It made me feel terrible. We don't talk about his microtia or reconstructive surgery very often. That day however, he had his evaluation with the school district and there was discussion about his reconstruction and his skin tag. Could he have made this connection? I'm just not sure how to take this. I just needed to get feed back from parents that would understand. Thanks Autumn (mom to Brayden rt side M/A) autumn when judah was in dr brents office 1st time @ age 6 after his initial exam, and dr brent had left the room, judah turned to me and asked me to make SURE that dr brent made THIS ear (the right) look like THAT ear (the left) ...AND NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND! dr brent had remarked that when he was finished with the surgery, judahs ears would look "the same"... not good enough for a 6 year old...he needed to be CERTAIN! haha!!! yep, kids are thinking big things alla time! jack
