MAUREEN- CHRYSLER MINIVAN RECALL!!!

Hey Maureen! Did you hear? I heard on my local news tonight that

Chrysler is recalling 1996-1998 Chrysler minivans due to a faulty

CLOCKSPRING!! How about that?!? I was hoping you had heard about this-

if not please mention this to your mechanic! Our local news stated

that letters will be sent out to these minivan owners informing them

of this recall- so it looks as though you will not have to foot the

bill for this one! Funny, we were just talking about this!

I have already sent an e-mail to customer assistance at Chrysler

concerning our repair- it was in April and I still have the receipt.

I am hoping they might reimburse us, but not sure if we will be or

not,since we don't own the van anymore, but thought I'd try anyway!

On their website, they do address the issue of what to do if you have

already fixed something that gets recalled and it says to mail the

original receipt to them and they will look into reimbursement. I

decided to ask first if we should even try it....since we traded the

van in.
