When I called his office his secretary had no clue about the DS and seemed to think the surgery he did was wonderful. I do not have ICQ but am happy to speak to your friend either by phone or email. It concerns me that she does not have much support. The positive thing in all this is that with the weight loss she should see an improvement in her diabetes which will help her overall health. I am interested though in the regimen the doc has given her as far as food intake, etc. If she has the procedure I think she has, eating bananas and not much at all is going to not help her in the least. She is more prone to protein deficiencies than DS patients and should be focusing on really high quality food and supplements to maintain her health. I am happy for you to give her my email, if she wants it, Karin and please let me know if I can help at all, OK? Take care!
