Guest guest
I'm in UK with no DAN dr. We did CBC and Liver tests through our pediatrician every 6 months for the first 18 months of chelation. Tey were always normal so haven;t bothered in a while now. You should be able to get these done locally. Mandi in UK I've started DMSA on my 7-year old son, have done two rounds so far. How often is it necessary to go for checkups, and what tests are needed? We are doing this under the supervision of a DAN! doctor, but he's in Britain and we're in Norway, so needless to say we can't
Guest guest
Are you seeing Dr Downing? What dose does he have your son on? He generaly recommneds large dose 8 hourly which are more likley to cause problems. Check out Andys protocol, small more frequent doses Mandi in UK I've started DMSA on my 7-year old son, have done two rounds so far. Guest guest
Annet, DMSA is safe if used properly. We've chelated my son for around 78 rounds with it along with the ALA. Most people test every 4-6 months to make sure the liver is handling things fine and the white blood cell count is high enough (very rare side effect). Yes, you can alternate rounds like that. Just watch your child to see if he's too worn out. My son needs lots of mineral boosting to keep him balanced. We ended up doing 3/11 after doing 3/4 most of the first year because he got too tired. Guest guest
If you are doing every 4 hour dosing you do not need routine check-ups. 3/4 is fine if he is tolerating it.
