Guest guest
Carol, I just meant with ASD individual considerations for some (if they need/want), ie- casein free, rotation, use of enzymes and other supplements, organic if chemically sensitive, stages, etc. Agape, carolfrilegh c.frilegh@...> wrote: > > The book is virtually necessary for ASD biomedical information/recovery... Guest guest
Jody, I'm definitely not suggesting that people use food outside the diet... and I won't use that term again! Maybe a 'customized' SCD is better, taking into account issues for ASD kids like: rotation, organic, if chem sen, use of enzymes, stages, etc Sorry for the confusion, this diet rocks! Agape, " Jody G. " momtobandj@...> wrote: " a modified SCD is the best diet for ASD at this time. " , I know this is a matter of symantics, but Elaine was very adament that the words " modified SCD " not be used. If you are consuming foods that are NOT allowed on SCD, then the diet is NOT SCD. If you have eliminated allowed SCD foods to make the diet more suitable for your child (such as removing dairy), this is allowed for within the context of SCD. Remember the statement about feeding foods that do harm? Elaine knew that not everyone would be able to tolerate every SCD food. So, it is assumed that each person's SCD may look a little different, but that does not make their diet a " modified SCD " diet. So, within this symantic framework- are you referring to people customizing the foods consumed within the context of SCD or are you suggesting that people eat foods outside the list of allowed SCD foods? Guest guest
Oh, Jackie. You have my permission to feel sorry for yourself! Everyone's life is stressful. The problems just seems to ebb and flow. I am truly blessed with my family. Even the " digging " grandkids! Gotta love those little gals! Kathleen > sent the other one to the wrong place, I did lose .75 this last nite, putting me at 1.50 below goal and walking 7 miles only this week, will do better this next week hopefully. I > hope I have a better week this week, was kind of stressful this last one, of course after reading Kathleen's e-mail I can't feel to sorry for myself. > Hugs, > Jackie
