Guest guest
Sorry for the duplicate emails. My email is messing up. The healthcheck email was to follow another email which is on its way saying that HealthcheckUSA and other direct access testing labs since Jan 1, 2003 has been forbidden by law to to do labs in California. There is a good possibility that this could spread to other states. They need all the help they can get. It doesn't matter what state you are from. I'm doing too many things today. My best to all of you, Zoey
Guest guest
Dear zan_su05, All is forgiven. We will start over. I do understand that sometimes there is miscommunication via this method. You can't hear a person's tone in what is being said, and so things get misunderstood frequently. I do agree with your position for the most part. The standard DAN protocol is the best route for most (and it will most likely be the route we take with our other two kids). My point is that sometimes it needs to be tailored for individual purposes. We know we are blessed to have Dr. Megson to direct us. I frequently pinch myself as we are on our way to our appointments. And when she calls me by phone to respond to my questions, I get a little " flustered " because I feel like I am talking to a celebrity or something. It is silly, I know. But I really think the world of this woman. Thanks for the apology, and good luck in your journey. Jeni Lynn (gastrointestinal problems) SCD 1 day mom to Margeaux, 5 yr. Guest guest
This is a good question. When I asked Dr. Megson if we were focusing on chelating Elle or healing her gut, her response was, " Hopefully, doing both. " However, it hasn't seemed to work out that way in our case. It could be that I am simply missing a piece to the puzzle (like a necessary supplement). But if I am not, I have to confess that in our situation it feels like we are observing a battle and rooting for both teams to win. Carol posted Elaine's findings that SCD worked to chelate an individual's body over time. But in our case, we don't want to give the toxins time to recede even a little. From Carol's posting, though, it would seem that SCD would help in chelating when the situation is more " recovery " related or even preventative in the sense of eliminating toxins as soon as they are introduced. Hopefully, this will be the case with my other two children. I would love to avoid repeating these gut problems with them. But in Elle's case, she already has the high levels of metals sitting in her system. They haven't receded, but I don't know whether SCD alone would provide enough " oomph " to get them out before they do since the levels are so high. Does anyone else have observations or experience concerning this? I would love to get some direction if I am missing something. You've read 'Children with starving Brains'... and 'Treating Autism' ....connected with www.autismrearch.com ... and filled out their Questionaire to become a part of the data base You are in an 'enviable', and unfortuanately, too unique of a position; but this will help all your kids. Guest guest
I thought the Vit Mat looked really good too. A bit expensive but, so worth it to help chelate naturally and protect the body while sleeping. This is not just a magnetic mattress but, also a heated one at desired temp. I believe so, chelate and remove while sleeping. Guest guest
The book is virtually necessary for ASD biomedical information/recovery... I just tell readers to substitute SCD for GFCFSF... a modified SCD is the best diet for ASD at this time. Guest guest
" a modified SCD is the best diet for ASD at this time. " , I know this is a matter of symantics, but Elaine was very adament that the words " modified SCD " not be used. If you are consuming foods that are NOT allowed on SCD, then the diet is NOT SCD. If you have eliminated allowed SCD foods to make the diet more suitable for your child (such as removing dairy), this is allowed for within the context of SCD. Remember the statement about feeding foods that do harm? Elaine knew that not everyone would be able to tolerate every SCD food. So, it is assumed that each person's SCD may look a little different, but that does not make their diet a " modified SCD " diet. So, within this symantic framework- are you referring to people customizing the foods consumed within the context of SCD or are you suggesting that people eat foods outside the list of allowed SCD foods? Guest guest
Carol, I just meant with ASD individual considerations for some (if they need/want), ie- casein free, rotation, use of enzymes and other supplements, organic if chemically sensitive, stages, etc. Agape, carolfrilegh c.frilegh@...> wrote: > > The book is virtually necessary for ASD biomedical information/recovery...
