WW / Atkins

Hi,

I've posted here a couple of times but haven't really introduced

myself. I joined WW last Thursday after having given up the Atkins

plan. After developing back problems a few yrs. back I went on

Atkins at my doctors suggestion. I lost 100 pounds on it and was a

size 11, but then started having problems sticking to it and gained

back around 75 pounds.

As a former vegetarian I found Atkins to be a struggle, although the

weight came off really fast.

Now I'm having back problems again and that is what motivated me to

join WW. I have to admit I don't like the idea of only losing 1 to

2 pounds a week. Seems like it will take me forever, however I love

the food choices I have.

My husband needs to lose around 50 pounds so he has went on WW with

me, he could never do Atkins at all.

I haven't thought about rewards for losing weight. I guess my

reward would be to fit into all my old clothes and hopefully getting

my back better by shedding all this weight.

We don't have any kids, just 10 cats, 4 dogs,1 iguana, and 9 birds,

those are our kids.

I work in an office managing around 300 rental properties. I think

that is about it. I look forward to seeing if this eating program

will work for my husband and myself. I sure hope it does, don't

want to go back to Atkins.

Is there anyone here besides me that used to do Atkins? If so how

hard was it for you switching to WW? Going from a very low carb

eting plan, to a much higher eating plan wihtout feeling guilty for

eating catbs?
