I would have to agree with on this one.

I have been told that the affects of peanut allergy can be unpredictable - and accumulative.

So, tiny exposure here and there with no or minimal reaction may eventually lead to a fatal reaction.

We were told regardless of how strong the allergy tested, a peanut allergy was to be treated very seriously and an Epi pen was to be carried at all times.

Which reminds me! I just noticed my Epi pen is expired! *GASP!* and has been for a while!!

This is a huge reminder for every one to check their pens regularly!!!

Hey Alyssa? What do you think about adding a monthly reminder to check our Epi pens? For expiration and cloudiness, etc?? Obviously, I for one could use something like that, lol.

If you have a peanut allergy I would treat it as life threatening. Someonewith a peanut allergy can have a mild reaction one time and full blownanaphylactic reaction the next exposure. Not worth the risk IMO.

,

I put in the reminder. It will come once a month! Great idea!!! I am glad that you did check your epi pen and know that it is expired. That way you can get a new one! :-)

Hi !

I totally understand about the MIA part lol. It has been so beautiful here that I don't want to sit in the house LOL! I want to let the kids play outside. Although, my son can not go in the sun. Poor guy. The ointment that we use for his eczema has a warning on it about the sun. So, we sit on the porch and he plays in the shade lol..he still gets outside time! Anyway, I hope you have a great day!

Alyssa

Hey everyone!

Welcome to the new members. I'm sorry I've been MIA, it was a BUSY weekend. The 2 days before that were busy too. LOL.Someone (and I forget who because I deleted the email on accident) said thattheir child has eczema that started to clear up when she removed items fromthe child's diet and it came back when she ate something with them in it.If this is the case I'd remove ALL the allergens and keep them from her forat least a year (but most likely longer). Our son tested just slightlypositive to dairy and we removed it from his diet. Eczema cleared up for thefirst time in 4 (yes four) years and after being dairy free for 2 years heoutgrew his allergy. If it is a slight allergy and you remove it early youcan get very positive results from it. It is hard for you and really suckshaving to read the ingredients on every single thing that goes in yourchild's mouth but SO worth it in the long run.If you have a peanut allergy I would treat it as life threatening. Someonewith a peanut allergy can have a mild reaction one time and full blownanaphylactic reaction the next exposure. Not worth the risk IMO.Email me if you have any other questions (and I hope I rememberedeverything!)

Your KOPS Pal,

Oh Goerge, you made KOPS? YAY for you!!!! When did that happen? It seems like last week that I met you at SRD, and I know it was more than a year ago, and you were close. Congrat's!!! Late, I'm sure!

Goerge here! LOL! Yes....I reached goal August 4. I lost for 16 plus weeks in a row and was on a roll.

I reached goal and was thrilled to become a KOPS for the 3rd or 4th time.

Then I started a new schedule at work and it has really thrown me of course and I've been struggling

ever since. I'm currently trying to get some health problems under control and get back to TOPS back

in leeway. Health first. TOPS second though. But I'm a still a KOPS and thrilled about that. The struggle

is worth it.

Thanks so much ! :) Re: hey everyone! Your KOPS Pal,
