What are the food allergies? It is quite possible that you are still giving

Connor foods that he is violently reacting to. Most doctors (even

allergists) are illiterate about food-related problems, and how to resolve

them.

ALL my problems are food related, and not a single doctor picked up on them

(I figured it out on my own). At one point, when I was in the hospital

with: allergist, 2 GI's, 3 tropical disease experts, and endocrinologist

(and I think my doctor consulted even more docs since he was stumped) and

NONE of them even thought about food allergy as the common thread to my

severe problems. I'm not saying the food is the cause, but if there are

known food allergies, they need to be TOTALLY eliminated to determine how

much of an impact they are having. Getting rid of food allergens is tough,

as they can easily show up in about everything, including medicine.

>Is he being treated with steroids. My son vomited

My vomiting was really bad, but the prednisone calmed my system down

immediately.

Hi Patti,

Welcome to the list. I have only been on the diet for 3 months, but there

are some ppl here who have been on it for over a year. Good luck and if you

have any questions, ask!! The best advice I can give you is read the book. Go

to my web site to see some links for recipes, and info on this WOL (way of

Welcome Patti!

This really is a way of life, not a diet... and I'm finding that it's no trouble

to stick to. I don't crave sweets anymore at all. When you get the book and

read it, it will make more sense to you.

Hello everyone

My name is Lesli and IM from

Texas. I just started the

Atkins diet on Friday. I decided not to do like allot

of people do when starting

a new diet, wait till Monday.

If this diet is going to make me

feel better then let's get

started.

I am 26 years old. I have an 8 month

old son who just started

crawling. I had a pretty rough pregnancy. I was

sick the whole time and

then was put on bed rest. Basically I had put myself

on it from the beginning

but then my doctor did it officially. I am 5'2 "

and weigh

301lbs. I've always been overweight but each

year it has gotten worse and

worse. This diet should be fairly easy. I do not

crave sweets. Vie always

loved cheese. I do however like pasta's.

Anyway, That's my

story.

I look forward to losing weight with

you.

Lesli

Howdy ,

Welcome! I'm new here too, but I have done Atkins before. I was 215lbs,

got down to 155 and stayed for 9 months(not Atkins) then here it came again.

So I'm back in the " losing " game again. I'm 5'5 " and my goal is 135-140. I

now weigh 175. YUCK!! LOL! Lets go do this!

Kay. You are an inspiration to me. I am losing very slowly but at least I'm

not

gaining. Thankful for that. I really admire you for all that you've lost.

Keep up

the good work.
