Guest guest
HI ...Just a couple of 'quickie's' if you don't mind! How long have you had your band in? Why do you have to have it replaced? What symptom's made you ask THE question about the possiblility that it needed replacing? OK No more at this time..lol lol. I hope all goes well with your replacement. Guest guest
Hi , I had a 2nd band placed in November, due to my first band slipping after 3 years....... and this one is more restrictive than the last one......I have just progressed to 1.5mls....just don't have too much put in at once.....I started with 1ml, then had another 1ml put in 2 weeks later....TOO TIGHT!!!! All out again, start again..2 weeks later...1ml.... 2 weeks later: this time only up by .5ml....much easier to tolerate.....and in 3 weeks I will have ..25ml put in....just for a touch more....then I think I'll be where I want to stay. This band is mainly for maintenance, as I lost 92 kgs with the first band.....and having had no restriction while the new band settled in.....I KNOW I would be putting on weight in no time!! From November to my first fill (March I think) I have gained *cringe* 15 kgs!!!!! So now that I have been 'topped up', I have at least stopped gaining....... BUT THAT'S WHY I HAVE THE BAND, because I can't do it by myself.....I'm the FIRST to admit it :0) Geri Hi > I spoke to my doctor on Friday and I do have to have my band replaced, he is > going to ring me on Monday with a date for surgery. > > How many people out there have had a second band placed, and what kind of > success are you having. > > Cath did you have a second band before you had the DS done? > > Regards > > Mt Nasura Perth > > > > ozband website: > http://www.ozband.com > >

Guest guest
Hi Flick, Have you had WLS before eg stomach stapling? If you haven't had surgery before then I would say that everyone is so different and we all react to the op differently. I have heard some stories that people who have had the stomach stapling first then had the band, their results aren't that great. I think they refer them to the duo switch next. Guest guest
Flick, Your emails are coming through ok. 9 hrs from Brissy. Where are you? Your story is on a par with a lot of others. My daughter was over 140kgs & has only lost 25 kgs in 3.4years & that was in the first 6 months. I lost 20kg's in first 6 months & I guess 5 more over the past 3 years. Everyone of us is different & I know my problem is I am not a dedicated dieter & I eat all the wrong things, even if it is only small portion!! But I must add, I LOVE EVERY DAMN MORSEL!! Not a good 'Role Model' I know, but usually a happy one! Good to hear from you & nice you have some fellow 'Bandsters' to meet with & 'chew the fat' (figuratively speaking that is!) together... Guest guest
don't jump to conclusions. you need to go in and get a sono gram to see to be sure. I bled and spotted a lot with my first pregnancy HI Hi how are you?? I am sad and depressed.. I have never had a miscarriage and think I am having one and want to scream and cry.. I am feeling fine physically.. I had to go to the bathroom and wiped well there was blood but thought might have riped something so then wiped my front and was alot of blood no clots like the doctor said so put a pad on very much sad and wanting to cry but held it in for the kids sake.. And now when I wipe there is nothing.. So not sure what to think.. I called Marc at work and he was also confussed.. But I am very much sad...
