We were having a marriage enrichment seminar. She had a donut in her hand and said something about how she shouldn't be eating it, that she was starting a new diet, etc. I smiled at her in the kindest, friendliest, most sympathetic way I knew how and told her I wasn't the "food police". Then asked her about her diet, and slid into the conversation some information about our TOPS chapter. She said she had gone to TOPS years ago, etc. Another lady heard us talking about it and now I've spread the word to 2 more ladies. I'm hoping we get even more new members.And yes, I was able to resist eating a donut. We won't talk about three chocolate chip cookies, though. I did choose unsweetened tea over lemonade and mustard (no calories) over mayo for my sandwich. That doesn't quite make up for the cookies. I did not do well with my calorie intake today.
