Guest guest
This is my standard cole slaw recipe. IMNSHO, this is the best cole slaw I have EVER had. It is better than KFC's cole slaw, the standard if you ask me. It is based on a copycat recipe for KFC cole slaw I found a long time ago; I converted it to make it SBD friendly and reworked it to use the Dole slaw mix (much quicker than chopping a head of cabbage yourself, but you can do that instead if you prefer). Best thing about this recipe -- EVERYONE seems to like it. I make up a big batch for cookouts and the such with great results. Cole Slaw 1 package of Dole slaw mix 2 tablespoons minced onion (fresh) 1/4 cup fructose 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt 1/8 teaspoon pepper 1/4 cup milk 1/2 cup mayonnaise 1/4 cup buttermilk 1 1/2 tablespoons white vinegar 1/2 lemon, freshly squeezed 1) Combine the sugar, salt, pepper, milk, mayonnaise, buttermilk, vinegar, and lemon juice in a large bowl and beat until smooth. 2) Add the Dole slaw mix and mix well. 3) Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving. Stir every 30-45 minutes to mix contents.
