Guest guest
I lost the 20 pounds last year basically doing WW on my own, part of it was low-carb, and I was also a member of Curves. So a combination of things. Problem was I didn't have any accountablity so it I got hungry a day I would just eat and eat rather than stepping back. Then once I messed up it took me a week of trying to get back on it again. I knew that WW worked and I REALLY want to lose weight and keep it off. I gained the 20 back in about 3 months and talk about feeling weighed down! At least I know I can get down to that point and then need to keep going instead of slipping back into old habits. I hope to achieve this by actually joining WW. ----- Original Message ----- Hi , Congrats on a great first week 8-) How did you lose your 20 pounds last year? I'm finding WW to be very wonderful, and I've lost about 37 pounds so far (in a few months). What I love about it is that I can eat anything, and it doesn't feel like I'm depriving myself (well, ok, maybe a little ;-). As far as exercise, it will speed up the process, because muscle burns more calories than fat does. Basically, you can use this next few months to develop a long-term relationship to exercise that will be maintainable. I'm only exercising twice a week, but I've added a lot more activity (which I'm not really counting, since it's just walking more, rather than formally working up a sweat ;-) I know that if I go on an extensive exercise program I will be unlikely to keep it up after goal... I just know myself too well. 8-) But as I near my goal, I know I will be playing a lot more, and just adding activity into my life. And, boy. I can definitely relate to your last point. I think I've never been below around 160, myself. Well, I have a long way to go til I get back there 8-). I'll see how it's going then! -Elissa
