And how long have you been suffering with this now ?????!!!!!!! pictures of my throat This is gross so don't look if you don't want to see! Re: pictures of my throat Also ....when your throat hurts and you can't eat much....that can cause weight gain instead of weight loss! Hang in there. I didn't have one at all yesterday or today and I'm VERY proud of that. I am drinking more tea, water, and I bought some Crystal Light to go packets and I'm putting them in my water whenever I want something different than just water. So far it's working. I'm doing okay today. I have good days and I have bad days but I'm just trying to be patient and let the meds due their job and realize it won't go away over night. I am going to research GERD (gastro esophageal reflux disease) and see what I should stay away from in the food/drink area as well. Re: pictures of my throat , giving up diet drinks will be good for you in more ways than one. You can do it...I havn't had a soda since April'05 and I'm never drinking them again. The carbination is not good for your bones anyway! That's what my orthopedist told me. I hope your doc finds the right combo of meds to get you ALL better. You need to be in tip top shape for SRD! Guest guest Posted January 13, 2006 Report Share Posted January 13, 2006 Thanks Helen. I am going to do some research on acid reflux and GERD and learn more about what I can and can't eat. I haven't asked my doctor much about it but you'd think she would have SAID something about it right like to stay away from this and that? I see her again on the 3rd and I will talk to her more about it then. I was too worried about getting my medical excuse on the last visit that I forgot to ask about my diet. This is day 3 without sodas and while I don't see any difference in my throat yet I do feel better in my mind that I have cut down. Thanks for sending me some info. on what causes this.
