Guest guest
Debi, I would like to welcome you and your husband to the list, your first answer is, In the Atkins carb counter book it say that 2 slices of bacon are 1/2 a carb. the 2nd question, Everyone is different and as soon as you get into ketosis and get finished with induction, you can kinda play around and see what works for you. I still use the listerine, but I have given up breath mints and gum. but it might be different for you? If you are only having the cough drop once or twice a week I don't think I would worry too much about it unless you are stalling for more than 6 weeks, then I would change somethings or even try to find a sugarless one if you need to. I know they make them, jsut not sure what the brand was. Make sure your taking vitamins and eating over 1200 calories. drink plenty of water and I know it will be hard, but get a little exercise a few times a week. start out slow and work up, Even if you do sitting exercises, just anything to get your heart pumping a little. Please keep us updated and any time you need to ask a question, don;t be afraid to ask. If you have to e-mail any of us privatley please feel free. This is a very busy group and so friendly!! I know you will fit in just fine!! Good Luck!! Glad to be here and on Atkins!!!!! ;-D Warmly, Debi >> Debi...welcome to this list. Support is always here along with lots of laughs, which, to me, is very important!! There are so many links and hints for new members just starting out. I am sure alot will be posted on here, but if you need anymore, I do have quite a few saved that I will be happy to send your way. I eat alot of bacon...along with hubby as we are both on this together. I usually look just at the carb content of that....and still remain in ketosis. All smoked meats are cured with a bit of sugar, and while most processed lunchmeats might put you in a stall, I dont find bacon does to me. (Ham, yes!!) I also find that for me, artificial sweeteners stop me from losing, and since I have given up my beloved Diet Coke, I am better. Now, hubby can drink it and it doesnt bother h im...so everyone is different, and you have to experiment. Anyways...so I dont sound repetitious to others, just ask if you want any more infor. Guest guest
I'm in northern California. Just 2523 miles from New Jersey. That's about 42 hours if I could drive the whole thing at 60 mph. If I walked it, it would be closer to 840 hours and I'd lose a lot more weight! lol Oh yes, I'm also 565 miles from Huntington Beach, CA & 1482 miles from Tulsa! I'm starting back on the treadmill today. Doc said to try it and go as long as it didn't hurt. X your fingers. I'll never make it to NJ if I don't get back into training! lol Thanks for this bit of nonsense! Hazel >I'm in Tulsa County (Oklahoma). Just 1449 miles from Huntington Beach, Calif. Guest guest
REALLY?? I so miss HB!! I lived there from birth to age 9. We often spent our Saturdays at the beach. I still go back every now and then. When I visit the beach at HB, it's spiritual. Are you familiar with the teen clothing store called Hollister? They have a live webcam of HB from the pier. I go there and get my beach fix. Donna > > OMG! That was funny. My sister used to live in Huntington Beach, that's funny you should mention that. > > > > --------------------------------- > Yahoo!
