Guest guest
sounds like an ulcer to me b/c of the location of your pain. JACQUELINE SICILIANO jl.siciliano@...> wrote: Help! My stomach feels like a constant " pit " I eat a decent breakfast. 2 egg whites with fresh spinach, and a heaping 1/2 c. of Kashi Go Lean/Fiber One Mix of cereal with skim milk along with my vitamins and some Crystal Light Grapefruit stuff. Within 1 hour my stomach is hurting. I have a burning sensation approximately at the mid-thoracic/sternum area. It started out coming/going but at this point, it is pretty much constant the entire day. DH, who is a DC, is thinking hiatel hernia. I'm 43, I exercise twice a week, I am not overweight thanks to SB (although I certainly don't eat perfect everyday) and I pretty much stick with a South Beach Diet way of eating. Any other ideas? I really don't want to start a lot of tests. Last time I did that 12 tests were performed to rule out everything but gall bladder disease when I kept telling them that I felt I had gall bladder disease based upon the presented symptoms. And yes, that was it and I had to undergo surgery. Guest guest
Hi Jackie; I'm sorry you're not feeling well. Have you tried any kind of anti- acids? If so, did they help? If not, have you considered trying them? I was thinking heartburn too. Have you experimented with your breakfast meal and made small changes to it to isolate what food might be causing this pain? I'd give that a try too. If the pain continues, I'd sure see a doctor. It could be something like GERD (Gastro-Esophageal Reflux Disease) and not require any surgery, like the hiatal hernia. Let us know what you find out is causing your pain. Take care.
