Guest guest
Scratch what I said about my KOPS medical excuse. I was just advised that the excuse must state that I must refrain from exercise and that may cause weight gain. Well....I'm not going to pay another copay for my doctor to put that on the excuse and I totally doubt that she will say that. I don't know what else to do. I'm not going to worry about it. I just want to get well. I will just be excused as ill until I can get this weight off and come back. I'm sorry if some don't agree with that but I truly believe that if I lose my status again it will kill me and I WILL give up. I can't do that. I will try and go on a walk tomorrow night and see if I can handle it although just walking to clean the living room tables made me out of breath earlier. Sad huh? Thanks for listening. I just went to the TOPS.org site and read the KOPS Rules s-027K, section 12, a-e... and no where under that does it say anything about the excuse having to state that you 'must refrain from exercise and that may cause weight gain'. Is this a rule in your local chapter by-laws, because it's my understanding that national rules/by-laws outweigh those. Besides, it's not just about the exercise... YOU'RE TAKING FREAKIN' STEROIDS!! I gained over 100 lbs in less than a year on those. Heck, I can remember gaining as much as 8 lbs a week at times! Ya want for Janet I'mnotarealdoctorbutplayoneontheloop to write an excuse for you?? ;-) Just kidding. Maybe I'm not reading something correctly in the rules. Take care of yourself and don't stress about it. You're right... your health is far more important! hugs, Janet
