Guest guest
Do you have to have your dr. write a prescription for you in order to get a monitor, test strips, lancet, etc..? The reason i ask (and i might find out tomorrow from my dr anyway) is that i've had a few brief periods of rapid heartbeat in the past couple of days (funny since i couldn't even get my heart rate UP on the treadmill last week - LOL!) - anyway, i'm noticing that it is only happening when i haven't eaten anything for say 3 hours or so and frankly i'm usually not hungry. But if i will eat something with good carbs in it and give my body roughly 1 hour after that, my heartrate will come down - so i'm wondering if between doing SBD and taking the glucophage (for insulin resistance) if there is a possibility of my just having low blood sugar during these times and that causing the rapid heart rate?? So i was thinking that i could just go and buy a monitor and actually test my blood sugar, but didn't know if i could even do that w/o a prescription for it? i'm seeing my dr tomorrow at 10:40 tanya
