Guest guest
Yes, I would be very interested in this. Heidi water sports Would anyone be interested in participating in a regular sib swim oneither a monthly, bimonthly or weekly basis? The Marriott at Glenpointe(Teaneck) books 2 hour private parties for $300 for apx 50 people. I wouldwant to do this with the least amount of complications so I thought that foreach "party" a few families could sponsor the event. I don't want to chargeper child since only children would certainly benefit from being with the NTsibs of other autistic children. The swim would be on Sunday nights (whenpool is closed for private parties) from 6:30-8:30. I would expect that eachfamily would sponsor a party only once (we will keep records of who attendsto keep it fair) We have had no communication with the hotel about this...I wanted to see if there was any interest. The pool at the Marriott is verynice and the changing rooms have showers and blowdriers so you can wash thekids up for school before retuning home. What do we all think? Who would participate? Joan- any chance we could get co-options to pay for a couple of swiminstructors?Barb
Guest guest
Barb, we would love to swim regularly with the group. FYI - there is a program in Wyckoff, for those who can get there, at the YW. It is on Sunday afternoons, I think 1-3, called Shining Time Express. The open swim time is for the families of children with any disabilities. They charge per head ($10?) non-members of the Y and NTs are certainly welcome. We haven't checked it out yet, but our little guppy liked the water so much on the weekend that we ought to try soon. water sports Would anyone be interested in participating in a regular sib swim oneither a monthly, bimonthly or weekly basis?
