Guest guest
Hi all Just looking at the calendar and this time nine months ago Doc Kierath did his handiwork. I read Gus that you are quite bruised-I was too. Had a 10 cm across haematoma for about four weeks but it goes as does the pain etc. Life is great although I still think I have too much juice in the tank but when I asked him to take some out he said I would be back in a couple of weeks asking to put more in so as I trust him completely I will persevere. I just "spew" too much for my liking but I have to just be sensible and strip it back to the basics again-mash, soups etc which is very tiresome but it is a price I'm more than happy to pay. Teala, re your question fats vs calories. Personally, I don't pay any respect to calories but watch my fat closely and sugars a little less. I am not a copy book bandster in so far as I graze during the day. I had read that it is not ideal to graze but my doctor said it doesn't matter at all as long as the results are the same which they are. I eat fairly low fat with some olive oil or natural peanut butter every odd day to give me some "good fats". I know my sugar consumption is too high with a couple of Nescafe mocha latte's and a few sweet biscuits or some yogo each day but I find I just need it and as long as I exercise it seems to burn off and possibly give me some energy. And yes Modifast by itself is fairly horrid but I turn mine into a smoothie for breakfast with fruit, soy milk or yogurt, bran, brewers yeast and the supplements for the day which I do in the pestle and mortar and throw them in too. Had my first bad night last night re what I presume is reflux. Had tea too late and went to bed soon after and woke up with the taste of sick in my mouth and nose-sorry about the description!! Sat up for awhile and had an effervescent zantac and could then go back to sleep but I will have to be more diligent in how I do things. I don't know about anyone else but your day still includes a lot of food preparation in so far as making what will "go down". Still a prisoner to food but in a much nicer way!!! I know I would not swap the last 9 months for anything and would line up 100 times over to have the band to finally have some control. Anyway guys have a great week. P.S. Stussy, you are such an inspiration-please keep posting to remind us that dreams do come true. I was stuck for awhile and your last post reminded me just to take each day at a time and the rest will look after itself.
