Guest guest
Hi everybody, Dear Dorit, You do well, trying to think of something else. I know it's not easy, but just try and relax, think of your exams, go out with your boyfriend. I must admit I don't remember how I was like two weeks before surgery. As I had already so much back pain, I was more worried they didn't want to operate me because of my back than of the operation itself. I remember, too, that I didn't pig out much. I was so ready to it that I had convince myself I didn't want to eat that much anymore. And you know what, the night before the op, I was at the hospital and had just a light soup for dinner, and I thought : " Why the hell have I not eaten spaghettis last night ! I am going to regret it so much ! " LOL Don't worry my pre-op friends, after a while you'll be able to eat almost whatever you want. (I'm scared to get involved with someone again) Dear Lois, I understand what you mean. I feel the same. That's funny, on one hand I would like so much to meet someone, and on the other hand I would be so scared to get involved, too. Sometimes I don't understant myself ... *sigh* Perhaps we are too demandant, too. We should do as Jessie :-) Go for Mr Rightnow or Mr Rightenough. LOL Brilliant, Jessie ! (Sharon wrote: My mom will be there so if you want you can ask her to stop by and check on you to make sure you are OK after the surgery. She would probably love the attention.....and I would love the rest!) LOL I see the Moms are all the same, but it's so great to have them beside us ... (Kilaani wrote: Wouldn't it be good to have a doctor nearby in case of an emergency that knew what to do? Something gets stuck and you need to empty the band ... etc. The nurse (not even the doctor) at my office does the fills all the time, it's such a simple rocedure.) Yes you're right, Jill ! But I think that what my doctor would avoid is to have someone who knows only a GP or a nurse nearby, and no specialist. If you are in Manitoba and you go for an emergency to your GP nearby who has been trained for the fills, and your state requires a specialist, can you imagine telling him that your surgeon is .... in Mexico ? I think that this is the point of my doctor. Love, Marina
