Just curious, Did anyone on the Loop receive a Power of the Rose Pin from a Graduating KOPS last April at SRD and did you lose at least 10 pounds this year or reach Goal. Or did any Graduating KOPS last April give a Power of the Rose Pin to someone in your Chapter or another Chapter and they lost 10 pounds or reached Goal. I don't think any of the 3 people that the 3 Graduating KOPS from my Chapter who they gave their Rose pin to, lost 10 pounds. One person was from another Chapter, so I am not sure. Just wondering

about the power of the rose. TOPS Love, Kathie S.

Kathie, two of the girls I gave Rose Pins to last year after I graduated have lost more than 10 pounds - - - neither of them is anywhere near goal, but they have lost! Both of them carry their pins in their purse and say that they see it almost daily - so maybe it really has helped.

Wow, Clara...you are so COOL to give both of your pins away! It's good to hear that both of the ladies are still losing.

Hugs,

Kathie, My daughter received a Power of the Rose pin from our chapter queen who graduated last year in San Angelo. Our queen's name is Betty Harpin and she was also Kay Brown's area queen. And my daughter lost 29.75 lbs. in 2005. She is going to SRD in Grapevine but Betty is not. I think that's one of the problems with the Power of the Rose ... both people have to attend both SRD's and that doesn't always happen. As a result there are not very many people who receive the second rose at the next SRD. No matter whether the second rose pin is received or not I'm proud of my daughter's accomplishment and also Betty's. I just sent the paperwork to Kay for her Century Club award!!! By the way, hope to meet you at SRD.
