Lately I haven't accomplished my pledge for the month but this month I am really going to try and make it. I pledge to lose 10 lbs. in the month of March. I have 5 weeks to do it. That's 2 lbs. a week. I CAN DO IT! ! ! ! I am already off to a great start this week. Iweigh in on Thursdays. Who wants to make a pledge with me on the loops that don't normally do monthly pledges?Hey Texas TOPS.....if you want to make a monthly pledge, like we do on Cyber TOPS, send them to me or the loop and I'll keep track for us!Wish me luck! Good luck to you! ! ! ! Neat idea . I had in the past pledged to loose 5 lbs in a month, fell short of it on some occasions. I'm still trying for that five lbs a month. My comfort food is ice cream (especially Blue Bell) so I've already promised my chapter I wouldn't buy any at least until after SRD. So far, so good on that one!! Another one of my big problems is that I'm too sedentary ... so my pledge for March is that I will walk on my treadmill at least 5 times a week every week during March. I can't walk long (am doing 8 minutes at a time right now) because of problems with arthritis in my right knee and hip. But if I keep working on building up the time maybe by SRD it will be easier for me to get around. Gonna try ... and that's the main thing. By the way, I turtled yesterday at weigh in. You don't have to wait until the whole month is passed. Give yourself something this weekend. Take a bubble bath, read a book or a magazine, get a manicure. Do something nice for yourself! You deserve it! Do that at the end of each week that you don't buy it. Baby steps will take you where you want to go. It just may take longer, but you can get there. You said you can't walk " long " , only about 8 minutes at a time. I have back trouble and I *know* that 8 minutes can be a very, very LONG time!
