Oh, Walter was surprised alright. But so was I. I do appreciate your visiting him. He had a stress test today and got a good report there so he should be going home tonight or Saturday morning. That man lives on coffee so I can just hear him asking you to get him some. I can't stand the smell of coffee and he always drinks it in the car. So he and I don't travel together too much. Actually we don't even get along well, but that's another story. Just wanted to say thanks. I guess that is what TOPS is all about! Then I went and visited Conway a member of our chapter that has been out and was letting her know she has got to geet back in TOPS, so figureing a way I can get her to the hospital to weigh her and then her and her motorized wheel chair to the meeting....BUT....I will figure a way, she had some surgery about 1 month ago and kept finding excuses, BUT...they have told her that her heart is working the very hardest it can and it is up to her that she has GOT TO LOSE SOME weight. so will keep you posted as to how things work out for

her. THEN... followed up on an e-mail from Winnie earlier today, and I stopped and visited her son-in-law in the hospital... he was 4 doors down from .... Needless to say he was surprised when I introduced myself to him. Then he asked me to go get him a cup of decaf coffee, and gave me the money I checked out at the desk and she said oh I'll get him a cup. so he was happy when I left. Winnie I left my card with him so if he needs anything I told him to feel free to call me and let me know if I could help. So now gotta run and get ready to go to the Air Base to meet with the chapter out there. TOPS HUGS, Vernie __________________________________________________
