April is Autism Awareness Month. I'm sure there is a specific day, but I'm not sure of the date. Everyday Miracles sponsored a family day at the zoo in April and had booths set up (from what I have read in the posts - We were out of town so we couldn't attend).

Autism is like having a computer without a keyboard, there is nothing wrong with the computer but it is hard to communicate with it without the right tools.
