Guest guest
I have so much yard work to do and house work Roxanne, They say that yard work is the perfect exercise. Maybe you should just count that as a day well spent, sunshine vitamin d, And know that gardeners have an excellent health rate. As far and the house work goes.. don't you think it would be great if them built a CD player into the vacuum? Turn the thing on have the headphones connected to the hose... Guest guest
I think that my main problem is I have too much to do. I take care of my 88 year old Dad, I have so much yard work to do and house work. DH is a truck driver so he is not home much to help. I think I just feel overwhelmed. I know another excuse. Me again...On Exercise, I've been reading the back mail here on exercise.. And had a couple of ideas... If you are having trouble with motivation I have a couple of things I do that helps. Get out of the house... Doesn't matter where you go, it will help you clear your head. Stop thinking, I've got to do what ever it is your nagging yourself over, like walking or running, and do something else. Hit the mall and walk the whole thing and window shop. I get in my car and drive someplace new and walk it. New is very good because you get tired of the same old thing and you mind enjoys the treat too.Change your routine around, tired of "this" try a "that"...As you can see, motivation / moving around is not my problem ... And in the DC area there are just hundreds of places to go and do things. sigh.. I just love to eat way to much...Now if someone can just whip me into shape on the cooking and eating end... I might just get through my Wednesday here....Jules220/210/Me ~

Guest guest
The Online WW gives Activity Points for housework and yardwork. Mopping floors or vacuuming for 10 minutes is 1 point. Digging for 10 minutes is 1 point. I would imaging you can claim 1 point for every 10 minutes of activity that keeps you moving steadily. Too often we think "exercise" only happens in a gym or on a track. Don't you love the people waiting for the elevator to get up one floor to the health spa so they can get on the Stairmaster? Guest guest
You are 100% correct. I never use that as exercise because it doesn't make my muscles that sore! LOL Thanks for the encouragement.
