When is the Arkansas retreat? Is it just a weekend one? Will talk to Peggy Sue. Is it full? We haven't sent in our money so let me know Hamilton and Feeser wrote: >>> Wwrote: Sorry. It is the one on Colorado Springs in August. Any one else going? Arkansas is just too far away. It's the other way around for me... Colorado Springs is 13 hours from here, but Fayetteville, AR is just 8 hours. And I mapquested... Fayetteville is only about an hour and a half further than Colorado Sprgs for you. What's 1.5 hours more when traveling with friends?? ;-) Just kidding. I know you all will have a wonderful and rewarding time wherever you go. Did Bernie send you info yet on

where in Colorado Springs the retreat is being held? I've only been there once, but for a family reunion, not a retreat. For anyone who is interested, here is the info on the location of the Arkansas retreat. I hope some of you will be able to attend.http://www.mountsequoyah.org/Mount Sequoyah Conference and Retreat Center is a year-round facility situated on 30 remarkable acres atop Mount Sequoyah overlooking the scenic Ozark Mountains of Northwest Arkansas. Those seeking solitude will appreciate hiking through forests, quiet moments at the chapel, or the serenity of the lighted Cross overlooking beautiful Mount Sequoyah. ...guests may swim in the pool, join a rousing tennis match, relax in the beautiful gardens, or explore the ground's many offerings.hugs,Janet

to Arkansas but I don't want to drive by myself. If Hank goes with me

will he be able to stay and not do the program or is it private and

just for the retreat people?

I'm not sure if he can stay somewhere else

at the facility... don't know if rooms are available for individuals,

or just groups. Usually, for a retreat, a certain number of rooms are

reserved to accomadate the number of retreatants, in this case 59 +

director. Part of the 'experience' of attending a retreat, is rooming

with someone who you don't know. You will be matched up with a

roommate/roommates, and it won't be someone from one's own chapter.

Your hubby wouldn't be able to room with you, but perhaps you can ask

Bernie B., the Retreat Registrar, if other accomadations at the

facility are available. Or, maybe he can stay at a nearby hotel in

Fayetteville. The paperwork that I rec'd from Bernie listed the

following hotels in the area: Days Inn, Radisson, and The Inn at

Cornell Hall. OR, maybe he can drop you off and then travel about 2

hours to Branson, Missouri and spend the week there.

hugs,

Janet

>>>Helon wrote:I saw your deal on the retreat camp. I was

wondering when, & how much, etc....but I dug out my TOPS Magazine

and looked and I've filled out the coupon to send in for all that info.

I'm just being lazy, but I will get it in the mail tomorrow.

Did you see my previous post to

regarding the details? Don't worry about sending in the coupon... just

email Bernie B at bburkhardt@... and tell her which retreat you're

interested in and she will email you more info and the registration

paperwork.

I hope you and others will be able to attend!
