Guest guest
Oh, MAN, , you poor thing!! Yes, sometimes it just gets to be WAY too much and we just snap, and that is normal! Being a mother is so stressful, then add onto that homeschooling, allergies, special needs, husband sickness, MIL problems, and frankly I admire you greatly for all that you handle. YOu are a great mom, and you are entitled to your own meltdowns once in a while! As far as glasses goes, yeah, it's no big deal (you know that anyhow - you just needed to vent). My brother and I both got glasses at a young age (he was just a kids like yours, I was a teenager), and we both wear contacts now and it's no big deal. And as for Connor, poor guy! He was stressed, that's how he handled it, and it's all OK. I know that stimmy behaviour and language regression is very, very stressful (remember Jake's past) and that alone can do a number on you. I feel for you, I really do - I hope you can keep your chin up and that you are feeling better soon. Well, when I am having one of those days like you've had, I always tend to remember the boy who lived next door to me when I was little. He was 3, and one morning he got up before his parents, went outside, opened the gate to the pool, and his parents woke up and found him facedown in the water, drowned. This story always makes me take a step back and say, OK, I can handle this, my kids are OK, thank you God. It'll be OK, - hang in there. Love, Heidi > > I dropped Gavin off at a friend to go swimming while I took Connor and Ki for the eye exams.
Guest guest
Grammy Pat ~~ Take care of yourself !!!!!!! You KNOW YOU come first !!!!! Don't worry about the 1000 miles or you may not be able to do ANY !!!!!!!!!!! Hugs, Randie My day my goals for this year is to walk 1000 miles and part of that is to do 2 volkswalks a month. Yesterday I did 2 miles to practice and as I was leaving work I felt a POP in the back of my heel and man did it hurt. It has been good for a while but this was worse than it ever was before.Well stupidly I was not goingto let it interfere in my plan. This morning I dragged Hank with me (actually he wouldn't let me go alone, Thank GOD) and we went to Huntsville.Well they do not have a 5k walk just the 10k but I said let's go for it. I made the first 2 hours fine but then as I stepped off a curb to cross the street, POP again. I almost went down right in the middle of the road. I kept going, (why are all these walks uphill????)Then we came to a place where we needed to go left and around for about another 2 miles but we were really only 2 blocks from the car to our right. Hank said enough and he went for the car and I limped through the campus for another 3 blocks so it would qualify as a campus walk for AVA.So 2 hours, 5 miles, lots of pain but I did the best I could do. Not only my left heel, but also my bad left knee is killing me and I think I sprained my right foot under the toes. Wah wah wah. Enough whining, but I don't thinkI will be doing another 10k walk this month. "Just Doin' it" Grammy PatYTD_ 22.85 miles It's not that some people have willpower and some don't. It's that some people are ready to change and others are not.– Gordon,
