Guest guest
I don't mean to be a disbeliever, but I guess I am. Everyone I know who had a baby had pitocin either to induce labor or to help it along. As a matter of fact when I was in labor having my oldest (PDDNOS), the floor was packed. I was told by the nurse that i was the only one not on pitocin. I think that 20% may be a little low.
Guest guest
I hope your right.. I just pulled the information from Newsweek article and the information in it. Did you read the article?
Guest guest
This is for the pitocin count... My son , who is 5 years old, was the world's easiest delivery. NO pitocin, came out after only 4 hours of labor which progressed quickly...9 lbs. 6 oz. a wonderful birth experience. He is PDD-NOS. Go figure... ne
Guest guest
no. i first heard that here. I've since took a poll to see if most women had pitocin and they had! Of course it could be a regional thing. Maybe the doctors in my area are in too big a hurry to let a baby be born at his leisure!
Guest guest
Thank you 15 out of 18 . The doctor at Hopkins is stating that 60% of autistic children had parents who took pitocin..and when taken in the light that only 20% of american women are again quoted using this drug..there could be a connection. If its painful..I apologize for asking.
Guest guest
Your exactly right..at the doctors leisure.
Guest guest
That is a tremendous number. Makes you want to even stop taking aspirin. I don't fit the profile here. I have 3 boys. The 2 with autism were born without pitocin. The one with pitocin is so far NT.

Guest guest
: I did NOT have pitocin with either of my boys. Both deliveries were C-Section, and Ian's was a planned C-Section. I did have Rhogam prior to both deliveries, for potential Rh blood incompatibility.
Guest guest
I, I I had Rhogam with both deliveries and pitocin. 's note reminded me of this. Incidentally, Mark had the umbilical cord wrapped around his neck during delivery, but his APGAR scores were fine., Athena
