Guest guest
Grammy Pat, You have some great plans for 2006 but remember you have to take care of yourself. I so admire you for your determination. But please let your feet and legs heal. I know how you feel though. Last year (well started the end of 2004) I had a big heel spur on the back of my left heel, very painful. I limped around all the time, especially when I would first get up on it. Finally went to MD, after a couple of months, he sent me to a foot specialist. He want to treat it without surgery. This meant several months of limited use. Wore a walking cast/boot for 5 months. Had to miss out on the Walk at SRD last year and the Walk at Work program at my job. (neat prizes too). Then in June last year I got to go to the night splint. Did that for 5 months. It was a long treatment and I missed out on some neat things but I now am rid of the heel spur and the pain and I can walk as long as I want with no problems. Sometimes we just need to let things heal before putting the stress on them. We need to look at the situation for the long term. I stuck faithfully to the treatment for almost a year, didn't have to have my foot cut open and scraped to the bone. Now I am good as new or at least as new as can be at my age. Please take care, you would not want to do any permanent damage. TOPS Love, Kathie S.
