Guest guest
Eleanor, We are working with Ann Marie Agnello. She is in Ridgewood. Her rate is $70 an hour, half that for travel time. She is doing a very good job for us so far. You can email me for her number if you need it. I'm not sure where East Hanover is in relation to Ridgewood. -- In Mosaic-List (AT) e, " Eleanor Fortier " wrote: > I am trying to get my son out of the district program and am being > stonewalled. Guest guest
Eleanor, My advocate is Ruth from the Parent Information Center (PIC) in Teaneck, NJ. She travels all over the country to advocate. There is also Verrico and I think they have another advocate on staff at PIC. I'm happy with Ruth so far. Their fees are MAX $125 or MIN $25, you choose what you want to pay. For due process hearings the min is $50. To join PIC, yearly membership is $125 for new members. I think $75 to rejoin. Their phone # is Ezzie p.s. All these advocates and attorney's are very busy, so keep calling everyday and hopefully someone will call you back soon. --- dielmann2@... wrote: > Eleanor, > We are working with Ann Marie Agnello. Guest guest
Marilyn Arons retired. But I think she is still doing some type of advocacy work in the form of lobbying for Spec Ed rights. She's gone all the way to the supreme court! I was fortunate to take her last class which she taught on the foundations of Special Ed law. She is the founder of Parent Information Center (PIC). Ruth is the Executive Director of PIC and Marilyn's right hand woman. The number below is PIC's # Ezzie --- LMart96834@... wrote: > Someone recommended Marilyn Arins to met a while > back. Guest guest
Ezzie, Thanks. The problem I'm running into is that I'm not getting call backs. One finally called back last night and I made an appointment for tuesday to meet her. I'm going to also call yours to see who is the least busy. Guest guest
Ezzie, I left a message for Marilyn Arons. I guess that's why I didn't get a call back!
Guest guest
Eleanor, I met a woman last night at a local support group meeting. Her name is Debra Baumann and she seemed very knowledgeable. She does advocacy and I am going to hire her to help me. She really seems to know the laws and the games the districts play.
