Guest guest
Thanks, Janet. I didn't think to ask about his leg this morning after all the plumbing he did yesterday. We talked about his mother instead. He wasn't limping, so I presume it is at least somewhat " ok " . It has been slowly improving. I think his mother is about the same. Will know more a little later today. Thank you for the prayers. Guest guest
Thank you, . You have a date? You'll have to tell us how it went! I'm ready to hear some happy news! Oh, I did have some happy news last night. After going back on my blood pressure medication in January and gaining, gaining, gaining because of it nearly every week, I had a loss last night! Not quite a pound, but I was thrilled as I thought it would be a gain. I hope the medication is " levelling out " now and I can get back to losing. I have to wonder which is worse...having a heart attack from weight gains or a stroke from high blood pressure? Well, I'm taking that horrible medicine trying not to have a stroke and watching my calories trying not to have any gains. I feel like a horrible example to the new people because of my gains, so it was nice having a loss. Kathleen > Kathleen, I just want to thank you for your message about your life. I have been sitting here thinking about my " problems " . > l. Haven't seen the grown grandchildren in almost 2 weeks. Have they forgotten me? > 2. How am I ever going to get this house back in some kind of order? > 3. How am I going to get off at 5:00 this afternoon and get ready for a date at 6:00? > You made me realize that I don't have any problems!!!!! > The grown grandchildren do have lives of their own and their own homes to keep up, and they do see their parents most days of the week. > They'll be around. > The house is " homey " , not messy. It'll all come together. > If I'm not ready at 6:00, he can just sit and wait. I'm worth waiting for!!! > Kathleen, just know that lots of hugs are going out to you today. Things will get better. They always do......eventually. >
Guest guest
They sure are great, Pepper! I am supposed to have only the 6 year old this afternoon and she usually doesn't get up to too much mischief by herself. Of course, I usually feed her lunch and she takes a nap for two hours. LOL. She doesn't have much time to get into trouble! And it's easier to watch one than two. When they start to outnumber you, you are in trouble! Kathleen > One word WOW and one comment......AREN'T GRANDKID JUST GREAT???!!! lol
Guest guest
Thanks, ! Just wait until you have kids! You'll see what this is all about. Kathleen > WOW! WOW! WOW! That sure does top me lately. I'm tired just reading about all of that. > > Take care Kathleen. > >
Guest guest
Kathleen, I hope things are peacful & comfortable for your MIL. The good part about all this is he is still your "DH" I am assuming that is "Dear Hubby", at least today lol, and you aren't sitting around feeling sorry for yourself. MIL is in my prayers. Guest guest
Aggie, My mother-in-law is much better this morning. Thank you, everyone, for your prayers. My " dh " is still my " dear hubby " ! Especially after he restored water to the house! LOL I could never feel sorry for myself after the way God has so richly blessed me with family and friends. Well, ok, sometimes I do, but that's when I'm being stupid and it never lasts very long! I have the 6 year old granddaughter with me this afternoon. She's taking a nap right now, but when she wakes up she'll give me a hug and the whole world will be alright again. Don't ask me how I can still get a 6 year old to take an afternoon nap. I don't know how, but I do and I'm not going to complain. LOL. Guest guest
Thank you, Helon. I just keep putting one foot in front of the other. My housework suffers. I make sure we have clean clothes. The rest of it can wait. We can pick up food to eat somewhere else. I don't *have* to cook every bite of food we eat! Learned that a while ago. My MIL is much better today. She is alert, stayed awake all morning and " talking " . At least she is responding with short phrases that are appropriate answers to questions. She ate well this morning. This is the best she's been in a while. Thank you for your prayers for her and my hubby.
