The beans I use for that are " great northern beans " . Sort of an off white oval shape. MB Bean Cake Question Let me apologize if this question has been asked and answered already and I missed it (you know how it is when you aren't actually paying attention to ALL of the posts on a certain subject) I went shopping yesterday and I wanted to pick up the ingredients to try out the Spicy Beancake that has been all the rage ) < > I was hoping to get the canned beans because it seemed easier to start with them. Well....I ran into a bit of a roadblock - Exactly what kind of beans are we supposed to use? I didn't see anything that was called simply " small white beans " .
