Guest guest
When you are all skinny are you sure you will have room for those tattoos? Joya -- Rewards & Goals Good Morning Everyone,I have a new topic I'd REALLY like to discuss. Just because for me it's very motivating to hear how far people have gotten in their weight loss!I wanted to hear what everyone's goals are and what their rewards will be. This applies to those of us looking forward to our rewards and those of us that have already cashed in on their rewards by meeting their goals.I am not an emotional eater, I just LOVE food. Food has been for me a "pleasurable" extra activity for the past 5-6 years. I have not gone up and down on my weight, I have steady increased until I reached 200. 200lbs was just a BIG wake up call for me. I am viewing WW has a permanent lifestyle change, since I'm a full-time college student, I view my meetings as a class that I'm taking which is helping me re-learn that food is fuel for my body. And my weigh in's are the grades I get on my tests, which means that I'm learning the important material. If I lose then I know that I'm incorporating these life lessons into my life! This is the 1st time I've made this decision to re-learn what somewhere along the line I forgot, I was not an overweight child nor an overweight young adult. I steadily started gaining weight around 19, I am now soon to be 27. I am married, have a 2 year old son and work full-time as well. I know that maybe 10lbs can contribute to having a baby by I can't justify the rest.I have chosen 4 goal weight's for myself and 4 very BIG rewards! For my 1st real goal is to lose the WW's recommended 10% which for me will 180. I am 5.2 lbs away form hitting this goal and as a reward I will getting tattoo. Now, I am not a big tattoo person, I only have two very small tattoos on each ankle. Now, I know many would think this is crazy, but for me I want a permanent personal reminder of the changes and commitments have made and also, if I should very see my self gain weight again I glance at my tattoo (I'm picking something that means a lot to me) and know what I've accomplished. My 2nd goal is 162, this will be the lowest I have been in 4 years! And my reward another tattoo plus a laptop. The tattoo for the same reason I noted above, and a laptop. Because I would have to start saving for it now and it would take some time to build towards that.My 3rd goal 146, I CANNOT remember when I weighed anywhere near this weight. I know I stopped weighing my self for some years. My reward another tattoo + new couch. My final goal 135lbs, I honestly don't think I ever weighed this amount, but I know I did because I have pictures to prove it, my reward tattoo + paint my car.Well I know this is really long, but for once I had a chance to participate in the group, with work, school and my son (Bj) it's crazy. I just make sure I read every email.TTFN,Rosie KANG200/185.2/180Next Weigh In 9/4/03!_________________________________________________________________MSN 8: Get 6 months for $9.95/month. http://join.msn.com/?page=dept/dialup
Guest guest
I wanted to hear what everyone's goals are and what their rewards will be. Hello, these sound like some great rewards. i started at WW 9/27/02 after stepping on the scale and seeing 200 pounds on the button. i was discusted. i just couldn't weigh 200 pounds so i joined WW online. i hit my 10% (178)on 12/02/02 by mid January i weighed 164 pounds. i was so happy. that was the lowest i had weighed since highschool. i was about 150 pounds through most of highschool and about 180 by the time i graduated and 200by the time i was 27. in February i was promoted to GM of Supercuts (11) locations in my area, and slowly i stopped the program. thankfully i only gained 17 pounds before i caught myself and re started the plan. i have been back on for 2 weeks and am back down 5 pounds (176) so my goals and rewards are short term right now.... here they are. I'm a hairstylist so this one is killing me. i need my hair colored and i will not let myself get it done until i lose 10 pounds (171 pounds) almost there!!! this is really hard because i am in the salons every day, thankfully it doesn't look to bad because i have hi lights. my second goal is (15pounds)166 and i will buy a game for my play station third is 20pounds (161) and i am buying the extended version of the lord of the rings the fellowship of the rings. I haven't really thought much farther ahead. I'm more in the now, the down the road stuff doesn't really motivate me. But my 10% when I first started was a tattoo I had a butterfly put on my lower back. It's about 3x4 inches, it's really pretty and hurt like hell!!!! thank Jenn
Guest guest
*laugh* (Good one, Joya) Ok, Rosie.... I haven't given too many thoughts to long-term goals (besides wearing clothes again. I haven't been able to find ANYTHING in my size, and I'm wearing the same 2 pants and 4 tops for over a year now.... *gasp* I'm NOT a clothes-horse nor have I ever been, but I seriously need new clothes! (I've weighed around 350 for the last 4 years, with a little up and down. I started WW when I'd put on another bunch of weight, corresponding to a 3 month work contract in Sydney, where I was terribly sad all the time being away from my husband during the weeks. I'm still pretty unhappy about living in Australia, since Buffalo NY was my home for the prior 20 years, and I miss everyone there. So I wasn't shocked when I weighed in at 371.) Anyhow, for my first goal, I am going to see a dermatologist for a bit of a skin condition that's probably unnoticed by almost everyone but myself. I haven't spent the money on it, because .. well, we haven't had a lot extra in a while. THAT will be my treat, believe it or not. I have an appointment in another 4 weeks, which was to coincide with my 10% (had to make the appointment almost 2 months in advance!). I lost weight a bit faster, though, so I should hit 10% (37 pounds) in about 2 more WIs - 8 more days... Might be 3 WIs since I'll start retaining water soon (TOM). My goal NEXT winter (June, in the southern hemisphere) is, having lost at least 100 pounds by then (I suspect my year's loss to be closer to 115, actually), to go skiing in New Zealand. I haven't skiied since I hit around 280 pounds, on the way up. I got too large for comfortable ski clothes, and too heavy for a gravitational sport! I am SOOO looking forward to this. Anyhow, I'll cut this short. I don't have other goals yet. I may actually stop at 220 pounds for a while.... By the way, I have the sense of moving back in time. I'm the weight I was for a spell back around 4 years ago, when I'd lost a bit. I'm getting younger. -Elissa Re: Rewards & GoalsWhen you are all skinny are you sure you will have room for those tattoos?
